A legal disclaimer
Welcome to DI Construction and Renovation. By hiring us for construction services, you agree to the following terms:
1. Scope of Work:
All work will be described in a separate written estimate or contract. Any additional work must be approved in writing by both parties.
2. Payments:
Payments are due as outlined in your estimate or invoice. Late payments may incur interest charges of 3.6% per month. A deposit is required before work begins.
3. Scheduling and Delays:
We will make reasonable efforts to complete the project on time. However, we are not responsible for delays caused by weather, supply issues, or other uncontrollable events.
4. Client Responsibilities:
Clients must ensure job site access, provide necessary permits (unless otherwise agreed), and maintain a safe environment free of hazardous materials.
5. Changes to Work:
Any change in the scope, materials, or timing of the project must be documented and may result in additional charges and timeline adjustments.
6. Warranties:
We offer a 1-year workmanship warranty. Material warranties are provided by the manufacturer. Warranty is void if third-party work or damage is involved.
7. Liability:
Our liability is limited to the value of the contract. We carry general liability insurance and workers’ compensation as required by law.
8. Termination:
Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice. Any work completed to date must be paid in full. Cancellation fees may apply.
9. Legal:
This agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in Ontario courts.
